The Impact of Extra-Curricular Activities on the Children of Ain Naquba Kindergartens from the Point of View of their Teachers

Abstract

This research aimed to identify impact of extracurricular activities on the children of ain naquba kindergartens from the point of view of their teachers, and to achieve this, the researcher conducted interviews with teachers of Ain Naquba kindergartens as tools for data collection and they numbered 8 teachers. The researcher adopted the qualitative descriptive approach, and the results of interviews with teachers showed several effects of extracurricular activities on kindergarten children. These effects resulted from the teachers' answers to the main question and sub-questions of the study, and four effects resulted from extracurricular activities as the following: the effectiveness of activities in psychological impact on children , educational impact and enhancement of contemporary educational aspects, their great social impact and increasing social connections between children, and their impact on learning through reducing the academic routine at schools, it made an effective contribution in investing children's energies in developing the kindergartens environment. Through these results, the researcher presented a set of recommendations, including working to change the negative perception of teachers and administration of the surrounding environment towards extracurricular activities through awareness of their importance, and creating a reference guide for activity supervisors that explains how to supervise the activity and the importance of planning it as well as organizing and evaluating it, and suggesting for future research titles.
