Developing The Talent And Creativity Skills Of Secondary School Students In The Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia In Light Of Its Objectives (A Field Study)

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the extent to which talent and creativity goals are achieved among secondary school students and to understand the obstacles that hinder the achievement of these goals. The study employed a descriptive survey methodology and included a sample of 275 teachers of talented students in secondary schools in Abha and Khamis Mushait. The study relied on a questionnaire as the main tool to gather responses from the sample.
The study found a high level of practice of talent and creativity skills by talented students in secondary schools. It also revealed a high level of obstacles hindering the achievement of talent and creativity goals for secondary school students from the teachers’ perspective. perspective. Statistically significant differences were found in the mean responses of the research sample regarding the first axis, attributed to the variable of academic degree, with differences favoring teachers holding a bachelor’s degree. However, there were no statistically significant differences in the mean responses regarding the second and third axes and the overall degree attributed to the variable of academic degree. Similarly, there were no statistically significant differences in the mean responses regarding the first, second, and third axes and the overall degree attributed to the variable of years of experience.
The study recommended that educational authorities focus on the importance of nurturing talent and creativity among secondary school students by providing an enriching educational environment and developing advanced curricula.
