Abstract

The current research aims to identify a list of design criteria for e-learning environments to present cartoon characters to students, and to ensure the possibility of applying them in developing an e-learning environment according to these criteria. With the rapid development of digital technology, e-learning environments have become an effective tool for presenting educational content in innovative and interactive ways. Among the tools that have proven successful in attracting learners' attention and simplifying educational concepts, cartoon characters have emerged as a distinctive educational tool capable of enhancing interaction between students and educational content. However, designing e-learning environments that rely on presenting cartoon characters effectively requires clear design criteria that ensure the quality of these environments, the integration of their elements, and their suitability for the different needs of students. However, there is a lack of literature that comprehensively addresses these criteria, which highlights the need to develop a framework that defines these criteria to guide researchers and developers in designing e-learning environments that support the presentation of cartoon characters in a way that serves the educational process more. Therefore, this research aims to derive design criteria for e-learning environments to present cartoon characters, which contributes to improving the learning experience and enhancing students' ability to achieve educational goals in an interesting and attractive way
