Abstract

The study aimed to identify the theoretical foundations of competitive advantage in educational institutions, reveal the reality of digital leadership in secondary schools, and present procedural proposals to achieve competitive advantage in secondary schools in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in light of the digital leadership approach. It used the descriptive approach and reached a set of results, the most important of which is the lack of budget allocated to train secondary school employees to use modern technology, weak cooperation with government agencies and various institutions to develop the technological infrastructure in schools, and the lack of awareness programs and workshops to explain the benefits of digital leadership and how it has a positive impact on the educational process. Among the most prominent recommendations is developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy aimed at achieving a competitive advantage in education in general.

Society, with all its educational and educational institutions, is going through many technological developments, which are reflected in schools in using the latest technologies in the teaching and learning process, and school leadership has a role in the optimal use of all available technological resources in organizing and motivating others to do new things, and enhancing the effectiveness of school organization to achieve educational goals. The competitive advantage works to continue the school to face new and complex challenges in a way that does not harm individuals or society, and to build the capabilities of individuals to move the school from the current situation to the desired situation,
