The study aimed to Identify the nature of the variable of successful intelligence and its relationship to indicators of recovery among addicts of psychoactive substances, as well as to reveal the variable of mental alertness and its relationship to indicators of recovery among addicts of psychoactive substances. The study sample consisted of (60) males and females recovering from addiction in a hospital ( Airport for mental health and addiction treatment) and their ages were between (25-45) years with an average of (128.1333) for successful intelligence and (114.8000) for mental alertness, with a standard deviation of (19.19183) for successful intelligence and (18.41177) for mental alertness, and by applying the measure of successful intelligence and mental alertness. They were prepared by the researcher. The results showed that there was a statistical significance at the level of (0.01) between successful intelligence in its sub-dimensions and its total score and mental alertness and its dimensions. The results indicated that the demographic variables for both males and females had the best result in the level of recovery in favor of males.
