Abstract

The current research aims to identify the effectiveness of a program based on activities to develop mathematical listening and speaking skills for kindergarten child. The researcher followed the experimental approach in two groups. The research sample consisted of (60) male and female children in second level of the kindergarten stage at age (6-7) years and they were divided into two homogeneous groups, the first experimental in (30) boys and girls and the second control group in (30) boys and girls The research used the following instruments: test of mathematical listening and speaking skills for kindergarten child (prepared by: Aml Khalf ,2019) and form of observing of mathematical listening and speaking skills for kindergarten child (prepared by: the researcher) and a colored progressive matrices test by John Raven. After applying of research instruments, results were analyzed by both the pre and post scale By using of appropriate statistical methods, it was found that there were statistically significant differences at level of (0.01) between average scores of the pre- and post-applications of the experimental group on the test of mathematical listening and speaking skills in mathematical styles for kindergarten child in favor of the post application. The results of the study resulted in the effectiveness of a program based on activities to develop mathematical listening and speaking skills for kindergarten child.
