Abstract

The study aimed to reveal the degree of Islamic studies teachers' practice of future thinking skills in Majmaah Governorate. To achieve this, the descriptive survey method was used, as the researcher prepared a tool for the study (questionnaire) to collect data. The study population consisted of teachers of Islamic studies in Al Majmaah Governorate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as an electronic questionnaire was distributed to teachers of Islamic studies in appropriate ways, as the final number of the sample members reached (55) teachers. The study found that Islamic studies teachers with a bachelor's degree showed a high level of practicing prospective thinking skills. Islamic studies teachers who have more than 10 years of experience showed the highest level of practicing future thinking skills with all its skills (forecasting, future expectation skills, problem-solving skill, and future visualization skills). The study recommended the need to work on the design and implementation of professional development programs designed specifically for teachers of Islamic studies in Majmaah Governorate, with a focus on future thinking skills, The study recommended the need to work on the design and implementation of professional development programs designed specifically for teachers of Islamic studies in Majmaah Governorate.
