Evaluation of the Islamic studies course in the first intermediate grade in the light of the content and performance standards of the Education and Training Evaluation Commission

Abstract

The study aimed to evaluate the Islamic studies course in the first intermediate grade in the light of the content and performance standards of the Education and Training Evaluation Authority. To achieve the objectives of the study, the analytical descriptive approach was used. The study population consisted of all Islamic studies courses for the intermediate stage for the year (1444 AH - 2022 AD), and the study sample consisted of the Islamic studies course for the first intermediate grade with its various branches. Education and Training for the year (1440 AH - 2019 AD). The card included (8) criteria with different indicators for the Islamic studies course for the first intermediate grade. One of the most important results of the study was that the Sunna branch and its sciences ranked first in including specialized standards with a high degree, followed by the Creed and Monotheism branch, then the Jurisprudence and its fundamentals branch, and finally the Qur’an and interpretation course. In light of these results, the study recommended that there is an urgent need to develop the Islamic studies course in the light of specialized standards in general and in the branches of the Qur’an and interpretation in particular.
