The current study aims to identify the role played by television dramas in promoting tourism in Egypt, to understand the extent to which Egyptian drama supports the process of tourism promotion; attempting as well, to uncover the obstacles facing dramatic works in publishing materials that promote tourism. The researcher utilized the Media Effects Theories and relied on the descriptive-analytical method, both quantitative and qualitative, in data analysis through a content analysis form of a sample of dramatic works containing touristic scenes. The study sample consisted of a group of significant Egyptian dramas produced from 2012 to 2020, including some from the Ramadan season and others outside it, to measure the extent of tourism and tourist areas appearing in them. The researcher also conducted some interviews with two different communities: experts in the Egyptian drama industry and tourism experts and tour guides. The study reached several results, the most important of which are: dramatic works promoting tourism are still considered secondary due to the lack of facilities for filming in tourist locations. Natural landscapes in Egypt ranked first among places with 47.8%, and the most important reason for choosing the location was filming in an environment suitable for dramatic work, with a percentage of 89.5%. The series "Younis Weld Fadda" ranked first, and most of the works aimed at relaxation and enjoying the beauty with a percentage of 49.6%.
