Abstract

Smart School - Competitive Advantage - General Education Schools in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Abstract: This research aims to identify the role of the smart school in supporting the competitive advantage in general education schools in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It also seeks to explore the reality of the smart school in general education schools and identify the obstacles that hinder its role in supporting competitive advantage in general education schools in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The research aims to draw the attention of officials to the necessity of employing contemporary approaches in managing educational institutions to keep pace with the developments of the age and the requirements of educational development. It also aims to encourage the adoption of innovative ideas, which contribute to increasing knowledge, achievement, and research to reach creativity and innovation through interaction with modern technological advancements. So that the school's function shifts from mere teaching to interactive learning and teaching between the learner, the teacher, and various learning resources, providing students with the opportunity to express themselves, rely on themselves in acquiring and disseminating information, and learn how to use information and communication technology (ICT) tools, including hardware, equipment, and software. This can be achieved through awareness of digital and smart educational technologies in schools, keenness to update the scientific infrastructure, which plays a role in enhancing the competitive advantage in educational institutions, and working to acquire the mechanisms that help achieve the competitive advantage in general
