The current research aims to identify the correlation between habits of the mind and academic self-esteem, and the ability of the habits of the mind to predict academic self-esteem among middle school students. The study sample consisted of (52) middle school students, whose ages ranged from (12 to less than 15 years), and the Habits of Mind Scale and the Academic Self-Esteem Scale were applied to them, both prepared by the researcher. The results indicated a statistically positive correlation between habits of mind and academic self-esteem. And that the more the student uses Habits of Mind the higher their academic self-esteem rise. The results also showed the ability of habits of mind to predict academic self-esteem among the study sample of middle school students. The habits that were significantly predictive, according to the ranking, were the application of prior knowledge to new situations, followed by listening with understanding and empathy in second place, followed by collecting data using senses in third place. The study recommended a number of recommendations and also suggested a number of future studies in light of the results reached.
