Abstract

The current study aimed to test the effectiveness of a teaching program based on developing the linguistic vocabulary to improve self-confidence in linguistically delayed children, and to reveal the extent of the continuity of the program after it stopped.
The study sample consisted of 20 children whose ages ranged between 5-6 years, with an average age of (5.2) and a standard deviation, ( 1.57) and they were divided into two groups of 10 children each, a control group and an experimental group.
The researcher used the experimental method in the study, and the Stanford Benet scale , the fifth picture, was applied to measure the children’s intelligence . Also , it was Arabized (translated ) and codified by Mahmoud Abu Al-Nil
Then the language test, was used by Dr. Ahmed Abu Haseeb , the self-confidence scale prepared by the researcher and the training program prepared by the researcher. The results of the study revealed the effectiveness of the training program in developing the linguistic process to improve self-confidence among linguistically delayed children and the continued effectiveness of the program after the follow-up perio.
