Abstract

The current study aims to identify the elements of strategic management in educational institutions and to highlight the theoretical underpinnings of the strategic management approach in light of recent educational literature. It also aims to make clear the requirements of applying strategic management in learning environments. This study used a descriptive approach for its purpose, resulting in procedural proposals and recommendations for implementing strategic management in educational institutions. The key recommendation is staff involvement in goal setting to help institutions fulfill their mission while considering the ministry's objectives and available resources. Managers in educational institutions must prioritize teamwork, involving employees in administrative and educational tasks, and adopt advanced control methods that align with technical advancements. They should present successful experiences to help employees organize these aspects. Managers should also use cutting-edge control techniques that monitor employee work. Managers should be enthusiastic about planning management-training programs and sharing knowledge with female students. They should participate in decision-making through work teams and take necessary actions to achieve goals. The ministry's goals serve as a general framework for educational institutions' goals, and managers must set flexible implementation strategies to achieve these goals.
