Abstract

Abstract:
This study aims to highlighted on one of the most important global decisions in the modern era, which is the declaration of the Eisenhower Doctrine in 1957 AD, the increasing American influence in Iran, and the attention that the Middle East region received from President of The United States of America Eisenhower and his government, as the study aimed to clarify the reason for this great attention by The United States of America in Iran, which is due to several reasons, including Iran’s strategic importance represented by it being the meeting point of the continents of the Eastern Hemisphere, and the economic importance of the region as it controls two-thirds of the quantities of oil discovered in the world, which the European continent depends on to meet its industrial and consumer needs, especially the countries of Western Europe, and Therefore, the researcher in the study took the historical research approach, which is based on description, criticism, and analysis, and an attempt to compare the texts of American documents with the course of events that happened in Iran to find out the truth. The research also clarified the impact of Iran’s accession to the Eisenhower Doctrine on the growth of American influence in Iran, to the point that the Iranian army became affiliated with it as a result of the flow of military aid to it.
