Requirements for Activating Professional Development for Faculty Members in Palestinian Universities in light of Contemporary Developments

Abstract

The current research aims to monitor the developments facing the professional development system for the Faculty members of the Palestinian Universities in light of contemporary developments. The study used the descriptive approach. The research monitored the most important requirements facing the activation of the professional development system for the Faculty teaching members in Palestinian Universities in light of the developments of the times, which are (employing technological developments in Education, digital transformation, cultural globalization) and the mechanisms for their implementation. One of the most important of these requirements is activating the role of digital and accounting devices, through computerizing the regulatory and accounting devices in educational institutions, activating their outputs, and supporting the distinguished and qualifying them for Educational leadership. This is done by setting incentives For Educational leaders, providing University Councils with distinguished cadres by working to select University Councils transparently, and paying attention to the professional growth of University teaching Faculty members. This is done by providing opportunities for interaction between them and experts abroad through seminars and conferences, where they exchange experiences with them and benefit from them, as well as for the Faculty member to benefit from the expertise and experiences of others. This is done by encouraging University Faculty teaching members to attend Arab and international discussion seminars, conferences, and training courses. the professional system, support distinguished University teaching members, and qualify them to assume leadership positions. There is also the need for Palestinian Universities to attract the latest professional development programs.
