Abstract

The current study aims to prepare the nomophobia scale among a sample of adolescents from university students, and to identify the number of dimensions or factors on which the scale statements are saturated, The study sample consisted of (100) male and female students from the first year (46 males, 64 females), from Ain Shams University. The age range of the students ranged from (18 - 21) years, with an average age of (19.51) and a standard deviation of ( 0.948), The researcher used the following statistical methods: , and the results confirmed the validity and consistency of the scale. The study used the following statistical methods: factor analysis, correlation coefficient, Cronbach alpha coefficient, and the results of factor analysis resulted in three factors (psychological nomophobia, social nomophobia, and communicative nomophobia),
The current study found evidence supporting the validity of the factor structure of the nomophobia scale, and the internal consistency of the scale. The researcher used factor analysis, the results of which resulted in the emergence of three factors (psychological nomophobia, social nomophobia, and communicative nomophobia), as well as the internal consistency of the scale was calculated through the Pearson correlation coefficient between each paragraph of each dimension with its total degree, which resulted from the application of the scale to the study sample, and the correlation coefficients ranged between (0.64-0.81), which are high correlation coefficients, and in making sure of
