Abstract

This research drives at identifying the role of university Entrepreneurial business incubators in supporting entrepreneurial projects and explore the services they provide and the main challenges they face. This is done through a case study of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science business incubator as one of the university business incubators. The study is based on the theories of human capital and alternate opportunity cost as theoretical frameworks, adopting as well, a case study method method to examine the Faculty of Economics and Political Science Business Incubator (the study field). In addition, in-depth interviews are conducted with the incubator officials and entrepreneurs (case studies). The study has reached a set of results, including the importance of university Entrepreneurial business incubators as mechanisms for the success and sustainability of entrepreneurial projects. These incubators invest in the human capital of youth through various training programs and entrepreneurship education. The services provided by the incubator include preparing the business model, marketing services, legal services, accounting services, and technology services. The incubator also trains young entrepreneurs on how to solve the problems they face through communication and follow-up mechanisms after the incubation period. The incubator is also concerned with teaching entrepreneurs how to deal effectively with these challenges to ensure the continuity of their projects. University entrepreneurial business incubators represent an alternative opportunity for entrepreneurs by offering them diverse services that help them achieve their goals and establish their projects, ensuring their survival and continuity.
