Abstract

This research aims at obtaining a list of navigation design criteria (linear, non-linear, hybrid) in an electronic learning environment based on Infographics. To achieve this goal, the researchers have used the descriptive analytical research method. The research has been presented, studied, and analyzed, and the sources for deriving the standards, methods of analyzing and classifying them, and developing indicators have been reviewed. Therefore, a final list has been reached that consists of eight standards which included (the general design of the interaction interface of the e-learning environment based on infographics, instructions and directions, educational objectives, characteristics of the target group, standards for infographic design, educational content, educational activities, and feedback, designing patterns for navigating the e-learning environment). One hundred and twelve indicators have emerged from the eight standards. These one hundred and twelve indicators can be used when designing a navigation pattern (linear, non-linear, hybrid) in an e-learning environment based on infographics. The research has recommended the necessity of using the list of design criteria that the researchers have found in the current research when designing navigation patterns (linear, non-linear, hybrid) in the e-learning environment based on infographics. The research also has recommended the continuous updating of these standards in line with ongoing technological changes.
