Green Education and its role in the development of the dual Technical Education in Egypt In view of the German Experience

Abstract

The current research aimed to use green education; To develop dual technical education in Egypt in light of Germany’s experience, by presenting the theoretical foundations of green education in terms of its concept, philosophy, importance, and elements, and presenting the conceptual framework for dual technical education in terms of its concept, philosophy, importance, and advantages, and also presenting Germany’s experience in applying Green education in dual technical education schools. The research adopted the descriptive approach to suit the nature of the research. The research used a questionnaire submitted to a group of dual technical education teachers. The results showed: the absence of a plan linking the needs of the labor market and the requirements of the green education environment, and the lack of students’ acquisition of technological skills to confront the green environment. The research presented a set of proposed mechanisms; To develop dual technical education in light of the trend towards green education, including: spreading awareness of the importance of dual technical education and green education by organizing awareness campaigns in schools and local communities, offering partnerships with companies and institutions working in the field of green education, and integrating the concepts of sustainability and green education in all technical specializations.
