Religious discourse, as a set of religious purposes and teachings, has taken up a wide range of studies, as thinkers devoted themselves to reading, understanding and scrutinizing it, with the aim of developing and catching up with civilization. This is not only the study of contemporary thinkers, as we also find among the ancient Arabs many relevant linguistic and rhetorical studies. The document is based on the Qur’an, and jurists and commentators have also contributed to developing new readings of it. In this regard, we clarify that the word “discourse” has two types of use that must be distinguished. The first is the common meaning among us, while the second is the meaning derived from the expressions of philosophy, especially post-modern philosophy. Discourse means a system of ideas, concepts, ways of thinking, and attitudes toward a specific topic. In the first meaning, we find that discourse is nothing but the introduction of new ways in which those working with religion address their audience, such as using a soft or sympathetic style in their preaching to people. As for the second meaning, we will deal with religious thought itself, and how to change the methods of understanding the Qur’anic text, in order to crystallize the relationship between The preacher and the recipient, which was clearly emphasized and paid attention to by Sheikh Amin Al-Khouli, Therefore, the research sheds light on the most important basic principles and epistemological foundations of Al-Khouli’s intellectual system in his renewal of the methods of religious discourse.
