Abstract

The Planning is essential for the success of any work especially in educational institutions and its importance from the positive role in determining of the human and physical capabilities of society by diagnosing the economic and social reality, setting goals and translating them into plans, projects, and educational programs, The Pfeiffer model is considered one of the most important strategic planning models, which is characterized by clarity, logical sequence of planning, and ease of application. the organization with a new direction to move towards and it prepares employees by great energy to work, and includes all the basic steps for building integrated strategic plans, which is useful in improving the performance of educational institutions, Therefore the goal of the research is to present a set of mechanisms for improving the performance of educational institutions using the Pfeiffer model for strategic planning. The research also used the descriptive approach, A set of mechanisms were reached to improve the performance of educational institutions using the Pfeiffer model of strategic planning, which included: Mechanisms for developing internal operations in educational institutions, mechanisms for monitoring the external environment, mechanisms for developing human resources, and continuous follow-up mechanisms, as well as steps for implementing these mechanisms in educational institutions using the Pfeiffer model, and the most important obstacles to their implementation within educational institutions, and how to overcome them.
