Activating the role of the agricultural secondary school in developing the work values among its students

Abstract

Vales form, orient and motivate the students' behavior both during study and after graduation. So, values are a prerequisite in the field of technical and vocational education as well as in work filed. They are also regarded as the basis upon which progress and achievement are built. Such work values as mastery, commitment, control, honesty, sincerity and the related quality of the product must prevail in the field of technical and vocational work In addition to these values, there are values which are related to work itself, such as respecting work and workers, estimating both time value and creative workers, love for aspiration, cooperation, initiative, challenge and consumption orientation.
Hence, this study aims to identify the role of the agricultural high school in developing the work values among its Students
The researcher used the descriptive analytical method, which relies on collecting data on the phenomenon and its interpretation
The study found a range of results, most notably: declining of the values of work productivity, the inferiority look to hand labor, The low level of efficiency, effectiveness and the spread of the phenomenon of unemployment among graduates, high school graduates need to acquire the professional ethics that help them to success in their work.
According to the results the author proposes the following;
- The importance of disseminating the work values through advanced and constant training courses.
