The Administrative Transparency and Its Relation to Organizational Trust for The Teachers in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Abstract

The study aimed to assess administrative transparency among primary school principals, measure organizational confidence among primary school teachers, and uncover the relationship between these two factors using a descriptive correlational approach and a questionnaire as research tools.

The study found a high level of administrative transparency among primary school principals, with an overall average score of 3.73. This high level of transparency was observed across dimensions such as clarity in information (average score of 3.90), disclosure of information (average score of 3.83), and participation in decision-making (average score of 3.45), all rated as highly available.

Similarly, organizational confidence among primary school teachers was found to be high, with an overall average score of 3.76. The dimensions of organizational confidence, including vertical trust (average score of 3.87), horizontal trust (average score of 3.82), and institutional trust (average score of 3.58), also received high ratings.

The study revealed a statistically significant correlation between administrative transparency and organizational trust among female teachers.

Key recommendations include emphasizing the importance of clarity in information, disclosure of information, and participation in decisions to enhance administrative transparency in Saudi Arabian schools. Additionally, the study underscores the significance of vertical trust, horizontal trust, and institutional trust in maintaining organizational culture and fostering a culture of administrative transparency and organizational trust among all teachers, male and female, as well as administrative leaders within the education system.
