Abstract

Theology is the science of proving and defending the Islamic faith. It relies on mechanisms, the most prominent of which is dialogue. Dialogue has foundations, conditions, and ethical controls that theologians have sought to use in contact with others.

Today, the Islamic reality is filled with contemporary scientific issues and theories that require the development of dialogue, in a way that suits the era, and this is the mission of (the new science of theology), which tried to address many contemporary issues.

Since its inception, the science of theology has gone through many stages and developments, until what is called (the new science of theology) appeared to distinguish it from the ancient science of theology, and it is still in the process of construction. Therefore, efforts have varied in clarifying its identity and revealing it.

Taha Abdel Rahman, the Moroccan thinker, is one of those who made this effort, as he sought to develop dialogue and highlight the conditions and controls that must be in place to control the behavior of speakers and renew dialogue to suit contemporary problems and issues.

This research is an attempt to reveal the dialogic theory presented by Taha Abdel Rahman and its role in developing the new science of theology by highlighting the features of the contemporary dialogical mentality and revealing the rules, foundations and conditions of dialogue.
