Terrorist crisis and its implications for family security (A field study on a sample of police victims' families)

Abstract

The terrorist crisis is the most critical challenges that threaten the society and family security. Thus, the study revealed the terrorist crisis’s implications on family security, especially police victims’ families. Furthermore, the case study approach and manual were used; the study was conducted on (20) families to know the terrorism’s implications on the police victims' families. Thus, the study concluded many findings, the most significant that terrorist crisis is consistent with other crises in the crisis’s general characteristics and the most dangerous type of terrorism is intellectual terrorism, and that stability and bonding between family members are reason for the survival of the family and achieve family security. Moreover, the findings confirmed that imbalances experienced by the family lasted for a short periods until the family could gain balance, these imbalances don’t negatively affect the family, although the father’s death led to the family performance changes, their roles and interaction with each other. The study provided many recommendations, including spread the preventive culture and awareness among the society to confront terrorism hazards and dealing with misconceptions and ideas.
