Abstract

The aim of the research is to identify the theoretical foundations of change management, the theoretical foundations of competitive advantage, and the role of principals of basic education schools in change to achieve competitive advantage, revealing the reality of change management in basic education schools in Egypt, and the research used the descriptive approach, and the current research was limited to studying the basic education stage The study found the following: The study found the following: the principal sets a detailed plan of action to help me carry out my job duties in a timely manner - the master works on developing a treatment plan to raise the achievement level of the school's students - the principal applies the open-door policy in communicating with students to identify their needs - and the weakness of the school principals' skills in A strategic plan to confront the crises that occur within the school - and poor prediction of the places and directions of the expected emergency situation - and the principal encourages the students to achieve a competitive position - The principal is keen to create an atmosphere of competition among the school staff - The principal works to cooperate with the staff on a sound democratic basis. In the development of the educational process - and the principal follows up on the teachers' implementation of the daily lesson plans - and the principal directs the teachers to evaluate their students in a variety of ways
