Abstract

The objective of this study is to track migrant terminology, determine its characteristics, the reasons for its emergence, and the proportion thereof, in the Arabic academic writing language of master's and doctoral students, in educational, humanitarian and social disciplines, represented by the research sample, which is from the first issue of the journal (2021) up to the first part of the fifth issue (2022), of the research journal "buhuth" of the Faculty of women of Ain Shams University (https://buhuth.journals.ekb.eg./), using the statistical analytical descriptive method; I have monitored migrant terms in the research of specific numbers, analysed them to arrive at the reasons for their migration, whether these terms are contained in their different concepts, or in some of them, while avoiding mentioning the names of researchers, referring to eloquent linguistic norms, and Arabic lexicons in recent times. Each sample research used the migrant term, bringing the proportion of the sample's research numbers to 100%. However, only three semantic deviations were observed, as was the reason for the migration of the term specialized language and the reasons for the change in meaning of general language terms; Both are caused by the reasons for the evolution of the meaning, and this evolution is positive for the specialized language if the term in its migration adheres to the characteristics of that language and the terms of the term, and is due to the negative and damaging if the opposite occurs.
