Abstract

Abstract:
This study aims to shed light on a Circassian-Mamluk-state historian in the 9th century AH / 15th century AD. He is "Khalil bin Shaheen Al Dhaheri" 813-873 AH / 1410-1470 AD, originally from Jerusalem. It shows how he moved to Egypt until he became famous there and a Mamluk state II historian. In addition, it introduces the environment in which he was brought up, what the surrounding circumstances that affected his upbringing were, to which social class he belonged, and what the truth about his relationship with the “people’s children” sect was. We will also discuss his education under the great sheikhs and scholars of his time, and who the sheikhs and teachers from whom he took knowledge are. We will also learn about the school of thought to which he belongs. Khalil bin Shaheen al-Dhaheri was not only a historian of the Circassian Mamluk state; rather, he was a scholar of jurisprudence that some of his sheikhs and teachers permitted him to issue fatwas and teach.
