The aim of the current research is to try to uncover the obstacles to teaching Islamic education subjects at the secondary level from the point of view of mentors in Kuwait. In a questionnaire prepared for this purpose consisting of four main axes (obstacles associated with the teacher - obstacles related to the curriculum - obstacles related to teaching methods - obstacles related to the student), and after verifying the validity and reliability of the questionnaire, the results showed that most of the obstacles facing teachers of Islamic education in the secondary stage in teaching Islamic education materials have an impact on the student axis with an average of (3.31), and the least affecting obstacles were on the curriculum axis with an average of (2.87). Attracting students' attention to the topic of the lesson, and the need to review the content of Islamic education curricula and books so as not to focus on measuring memorization only.
