Abstract

This research paper drives at exposing and evaluating the treatment of the television drama of corruption issues in the Egyptian society during the study period from (2016-2020). This is through investigating the extent to which the study monitored and represented those issues; monitoring as well, the influences and mechanisms on which the television drama relies in its embodiment of this type of issue to be addressed in the media. The study uses also the media survey method, as it is one of the most appropriate and most common approaches in media studies. The study sample is represented in conducting a comprehensive survey of all television series that focus on monitoring corruption cases during the Ramadan season regarding the period from (2016-2020).
The study has come to a set of results, the most important of which are:
1. The style of presenting corruption in dramas aims first at presenting corruption issues in detail with an explanation of their causes and the parties based on them and causing them, and then presenting all the means and ways to combat corruption and how to confront it; and also provide appropriate solutions for how to deal with those issues.
2. The types of dramatic treatment of corruption issues varies; as the call to resist and combat corruption comes in the first place, followed in the second rank by the contentment of presenting the case only; while in the third and last place, comes the provision of appropriate solutions to corruption issues.
