Abstract

The importance of the study for the specialization of positive psychology and therapeutic institutions.
Study objectives: - To study the variance of each of the dynamic variables (emotional regulation and borderline personality disorder) with the demographic variables.
- Detecting the variance of each of the emotional regulation and borderline personality disorder among the study sample by the variation of the two measurements (pre- and post-test) and their variance according to the post- and follow-up differences.
Study method: the descriptive method and the experimental method.
The study sample: a descriptive diagnostic: n = 100, and an experimental sample: n = 10 students from Ain Shams University.
Study tools: 1- Emotional regulation scale. 2- Borderline personality disorder scale.
3- An indicative program for the development of emotional regulation in order to reduce the symptoms of borderline personality disorder, which were prepared by the researcher.
Study results: 1- There are statistically significant differences between emotion regulation and personality disorder according to the different demographic variables.
2- There are statistically significant differences between the average scores of students before and after the application of the training program on the scale (emotion regulation and borderline personality disorder) with different measurements (pre and post) in the direction of the post measurement.
3- There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of students on the scale (emotion regulation and borderline personality disorder) in the two measurements (post-progressive) in the direction of the follow-up measure with the largest mean.
