Abstract

The study dealt with the topic of "the prevailing leadership styles among principals of general education schools in the Unayzah Governorate 1443 AH according to the Lewin Model of Leadership".
The aim of the research is to identify the level of practice of leadership styles by general education school principals according to the Lewin model and to reveal whether there are statistically significant differences in the level of application due to the study variables.
In the current study, the researcher used the descriptive survey method, and the questionnaire as a tool for collecting information. The number of the research sample was (120) principals from primary, middle and secondary schools.
The most important findings of the research: that the majority of the study sample agree with the style of the democratic manager, and do not agree with the style of the dictatorial manager and the style of the chaotic manager.
There are no statistically significant differences (at the significance level of 0.05) in the answers of the sample members about the style of the democratic manager and the style of the chaotic manager.

The study also reached several recommendations, the most important of which are: The necessity of holding courses and workshops for school principals to discuss leadership styles.
