The current research aims to develop Egyptian universities to keep pace with digital transformation in the light of Malaysia’s experience, by presenting theoretical frameworks for digital transformation in universities, as well as introducing Malaysia’s experience in the field of applying digital transformation in its universities ,and monitoring efforts to keep pace with digital transformation. The research relied on the descriptive approach due to its suitability to the nature of the research reached a set of procedural proposals for the development of Egyptian universities to keep pace with digital transformation in the light of Malaysia’s experience, the most important of which are: building a digital information network that supports digital transformation and is connected with global networks, providing university workers with the mechanism and culture of electronic management, psychological, behavioral, technical, material readiness and other needs to adapt to electronic management, providing support from the state to achieve digital transformation in universities as well as diversifying funding sources by attracting civil society institutions and businessmen’s contributions, digitizing the university campus through the internal communications between colleges and departments within the same college, providing digital channels to support academic achievement for students, holding training courses and workshops at the university for each of the faculty, administrators and students to eradicate digital illiteracy and spread awareness of digital transformation, providing a structure, a digital infrastructure for implementing electronic exams for students, especially in times of crisis, uploading all electronic platforms.
