Abstract

The current study aimed to reveal the reality of crisis management in developing the competencies of secondary school principals, and to identify the obstacles that prevent the crisis management from playing its role towards developing the competencies of school principals from the point of view of crisis management. ) Director, and the study used the questionnaire as a tool for collecting data from the research sample. The results of the study proved that the relative weight of the paragraphs of the first axis related to the reality of the role of crisis management in developing the competencies of directors came between (4.93-4.64), i.e. with a degree of strong agreement, and the results also proved that the relative weight The paragraphs of the axis related to the obstacles that prevent the crisis management from playing its role towards developing the competencies of school principals, came between (4.73-4.61), i.e. a degree of strong agreement. School principals according to the educational area of ​​the four study areas (North - South - East - West), and there are differences according to the qualification variable in favor of the category that holds an educational qualification, as well as according to the variable of experience years. The study recommended many recommendations and proposals, the most important of which is the establishment of a crisis management unit at the educational administration level to help plan for prevention and crisis response, and the need for a permanent presence of a crisis management team within the school.
