Abstract

The research aimed to measure the academic procrastination of female university students, as well as to verify the psychometric properties of the scale, and to achieve this goal the descriptive approach was used, and applied to a sample of (150) students of the third division at the Faculty of Girls – Ain Shams University , After the researcher was briefed on the theoretical framework and previous studies,validity of the academic procrastination scale was verified by two methods,the method of factor analysis and it was found that academic procrastination includes the difficulty of investing time and the difficulty of planning ,criterion – validity where the Pearson correlation coefficient was calculated between the scores of female students on the current scale and their scores on the academic procrastination scale of Ghada Farghal as an external test and the value of the correlation coefficient was (0.721), correlation coefficients( The internal consistency of items scale was significance level 0.01), the reliability of the scale was examined by using reapplication and alpha Cronbach, In light of the validity , reliability and internal consistency showed this scale applicable on female university students.
