Abstract

Abstract
Research and studies conducted on learning activities clearly indicate the attractive characteristics of interactive video that motivate learning and make it the best choice when designing strategies to provide students with technical skills. The embedded questions in the interactive video are one of the most important forms of interaction, research and studies have recommended the inclusion of questions in the interactive video to improve its features, increase student participation and provide them with immediate feedback that deepens learning, corrects misconceptions, and increases learners' self-efficacy. The embedded questions in the interactive video gain great effectiveness if they are presented via mobile learning, which is characterized by its contextual characteristics and its great impact on the concept of training and practical practice, especially if it is integrated into the work-based mobile learning environment. Researchers followed the developmental approach to reveal the impact of the embedded questions in the interactive video in the work-based mobile learning environment on Industrial Education Students' Technical Skills. They used a cognitive achievement test and a note card to measure the cognitive aspects and skill performances of the students. The results were in favor of the post application of the measurement tools, which means the effectiveness of the experimental treatment and the positive impact of the embedded questions in the interactive video in the work-based mobile learning environment on the cognitive achievement and skill performance of the students. The researchers recommend including questions in interactive video lectures when presented to students via a work-based mobile learning environment.
