Abstract

The Effectiveness of a Program aims to reduce the Cognitive Load to improve The Perceived Academic Performance of The Preparatory Stage Students the study aimed to develop a training program to reduce the Cognitive Load and to identify its impact on the Perceived Academic Performance of the Preparatory Stage Students. The sample of study included (18) students from the Preparatory Stage. in (3) schools from Cairo Governorate, such as Al-Sayida Khadija School for Girls, Ali Ibn Abi Taleb, and Muhammad Mahmoud Schools for Boys, at ages ranging from (12.6: 13.9) years, with IQ ratios ranging between (92: 99) degrees, divided into two groups: an experimental group containing (10) students, and a control group containing (8) students. The tools used by the researcher are, The Cognitive Load Scale by three forms of it, The Perceived Academic Performance Scale, The Economic, social and Cultural Level Form. She also used the Stanford Binet Scale (fifth image) by Mahmoud Abu El-Nile, in addition to the researcher’s cognitive Load program. The results of the study showed that, the effectiveness of the program and its positive effect on reducing the students’ Cognitive Load. Also improving the level of their Perceived Academic Performance. As there are statistically significant differences between the control and experimental group after applying the program, and this was in favor of the experimental group on The Cognitive Load Scale, and The Perceived Academic Performance Scale
