Abstract

Abstract

The current study aimed to identify the psychometric efficiency of the Habits of Mind scale within the framework of the Marzano model among a sample of secondary school students. The sample consisted of (135) female students from the first year of general secondary school in Cairo Governorate, and their average age was (15.42) years with a standard deviation of (0.49) years, using the arbitrators’ sincerity, discriminatory honesty (peripheral comparisons “discriminatory ability”), and reliability coefficients (Cronbach’s alpha, and half-segmentation methods), in addition to calculating the internal consistency of the scale by finding the correlation coefficient between the score of each item and the total score of the scale, as well as the score of each dimension in the total score of the scale, the results indicated that the Habits of Mind scale prepared in the current study has a good degree of Construction validity, discriminatory validity (peripheral comparisons “discriminatory ability”), and with regard to stability, the results indicated that the scale has a high degree of stability, and with regard to internal consistency; The results showed that the scale also has an appropriate degree of internal consistency in the vocabulary correlations with the total score of the scale, in addition to the sub-dimensions correlations with the total score of the scale.
