Summary Extension is considered as a type of ability of expressing and a distinguished style in Arabic speech which appears in various ways of expressing such as ellipsis, brachylogy, contraction, etc. So " Extension " was called widening of meaning and courage style of composition in Arabic language which preserve its rules. This phenomena is spread in Arabic speech and studying its reasons confirms the harmony of text and grammar. This research exposes the definition of " Extension " mentioning a lot of examples on its existence in Arabic speech referring to reasons of following it either in ways of wording or in text needs which shows the flexibility and vitality of Arabic grammar in absorbing every new. In addition to some of the reasons that go back to the requirements of the text: such as the reversal of the original by a verbal presumption, the departure of the follower to another chapter, the context, the terminology, the grammatical contradiction with himself, the illusion, the readings, and the suspicion of the meaning on the expresser. And other reasons that we cannot talk about here, and these reasons represented an important aspect in explaining the ability of grammar and Arabic to be flexible and absorb everything new, and to refute the calls for the rigidity of grammar.
