Abstract

The relationship between the character strengths and psychological well-being for middle school students.
The current research aimed the relationship between the imprint of the character strengths and psychological well-being for middle school students, as we all possess the strengths ,but we do not know how to use them? Because of the lack of awareness of our strengths, and if the students are made awar of the important of their own strengths this will lead to the psychological well-being ,the researcher assumed several hypotheses that there is differences in the psychological profile of the sample on the dimensions of the study scales, and that there a significant correlation relationship between the two variable of the study (character strengths and psychological well-being). The researcher used the correlational descriptive approach in the current study, and the validity of the hypotheses was tested on a sample of 150 middle school students, with an average age of(12.68) and a standard deviation of (0.53). The researcher used the following tools: character strengths, prepared by: Safa Al Aassar(2019), psychological well- being, translated by: Safa Al Aassar(2004) , modified by the researcher. The results of the study Indicate:- The difference in the psychological profile of the study sample on the different dimensions of the study scales.
There is a correlation at the level(0.01)between the total score of scale of the character strengths forces, and the total score scale of psychological well-being.
