Subjective vitality as a determinant of life satisfaction among university students.

Abstract

The present study aims at studying the predictability of life satisfaction through what the students' subjective vitality contributes to, studying the demographic variables (gender-specialty) affecting the study variables, and revealing the psychological factors associated with subjective vitality. Study methodology and procedures: The study sample consisted of (n = 160) university students, and the ages of the sample ranged between (19-21 years old, males and females, the two measures of subjective vitality and the measure of life satisfaction (prepared by researchers) were applied to them, and after carrying out the appropriate statistical treatments ; The results of the study concluded that there is a strong positive relationship between the students' self-vitality and life satisfaction, subjective vitality does not differ according to gender and specialization, and life satisfaction does not differ with different demographic variables. The results of the study showed the contribution of subjective vitality to predicting life satisfaction for university students, and that there are psychological and social factors related to subjective vitality identified by factor analysis with the following factors (physical vitality - Mental vitality, emotional vitality, social vitality.
