Abstract

Abstract:
This research aims at discovering the effectiveness of two engineering designs (both bidimensional and tridimensional) in the mobile learning environment to develop intermediate stage students' achievement and thinking skills. To reach this goal, the researchers used the developing research methodology which entails three research methods: the descriptive research method, the system development approach, and the experimental approach (Elgazzar, 2014); thus, they have selected the engineering designs course and analyzed its content to identify cognitive and performative aspects. In addition, they have prepared a list of educational designs standards of mobile learning environment of engineering designs (both bidimensional and tridimensional). Moreover, they used Abdel Latif Elgazzar's model (Elgazzar, 2014) in developing both mobile learning environments and to assess to what extent they conform to standards. They also prepared the tools of the study and checked their validity and reliability. The sample of the study consisted of (48) students, and the researchers used the experimental design known as the extended experimental group approach for 2 groups with the post and pre measurement. The experiment of the research has been carried out, applying parametric statistical processing methods using (SPSS V.20) program; moreover, the hypotheses of the research have been tested, the findings of the study revealed the existence of statistically significant differences between both bidimensional and tridimensional engineering designs in developing the aspect of cognitive achievement and sports thinking skills.
