Abstract

This study aims to shed light on determining the importance of moral responsibility in the media and the necessity of linking the media to it, which drives society to civilized growth.
Therefore, the study focused on its definitions and the problematic between it and the media and how to overcome this problem through: definitions of media and moral responsibility, then moral responsibility in thought or behavior and its impact on philosophical thought, then the ethics of media professionals.
The research answers an important question: Is there an ethical crisis in the media and what are the foundations of the ethical crisis? The research is based on the importance of the study, which comes from the importance of two components, media and ethics. .
It is noticeable that there is a divergence between ethics and media in practice and application.
It was necessary to pay attention to moral responsibility and its role in resolving the crisis and its characteristics and conditions that help to resolve the crisis.
The knowledge of the media and social responsibility, which helps to devise solutions to the crisis, was exposed. Focusing on the importance of ethics for the media, how to classify them, and the ethical components of media professionals.
The research concluded with several findings and recommendations that help to invite others to display moral values ​​that contribute to the formation of a constructive moral personality.
