Abstract

This research deals with Taha Abdel Rahman's critical position on the Arab heritage, transforming the criticism of the philosophers of Islam and the Sufis into an objective denial that includes three aspects: the approach, the discourse, and the vision. And the terminology of new terms expressing the heritage in a modern spirit, such as credit, Dharani, jurisprudence of philosophy and faith, and he was skilled in this by virtue of his study of the philosophy of language.
Taha Abdel Rahman believes that the relationship of the individual with his heritage is not a static theoretical relationship, nor is it an optional relationship, but rather a forced emotional relationship. Without intending to do so, an uncontrolled acceptance of the tradition or a complete rejection of the methodologies of heritage criticism, and accordingly it decides Taha Abd al-Rahman is in fact the impossibility of accepting everything in the heritage in the manner in which it was, because of the impossible rupture with the present.
Based on the foregoing, the researcher believes that it is necessary to stand on Taha Abdul Rahman's critical approach and put his serious vision towards a new idiomatic reading of the Arab heritage.
The comparative critical analytical method was used in the research.
