Abstract

This research dealt with the causes of climatic changes that led to the occurrence of glacial and greenhouse periods, as they are the result of astronomical cycles known as Milankovitch cycles, as well as tectonic changes as a result of tectonic movements in the earth’s crust at the bottoms of seas and oceans, and also changes resulting from the accumulation of sediments on the bottoms of seas and oceans. And changes in the different natural characteristics of water, and changes resulting from the movement of water in the seas and oceans, and the Red Sea has been subjected to several fluctuations in the water surface level as a result of several factors that were mentioned in the research, and also dealt with the characteristics of these fluctuations in glacial periods and periods The greenhouse to which the Red Sea was exposed, whether its water receded or its tyranny, and dealt with the effect of fluctuation in the level of the Red Sea level on the continental shelf in the study area inside Egypt from Ras Hadraba in the south to Ras Jumasa in the north, and the research dealt with the changes to which the global sea level was exposed during the Holocene era Present .
