Sensorimotor Skills and their Relationship to Auditory and Visual Selective Attention among Autistic Children

Abstract

The aim of the research is to study the relationship between sensorimotor skills and selective audio-visual attention among autistic children. The equivalence of the sample was verified in the chronological age, the degree of intelligence, and the degree of strike they suffer from. The research tools were used, which were the sensory list prepared by (Sule Larkey, 2005) translated by (Ahmed Abdel-Fattah, 2015) and the audio-visual selective attention test prepared by (Walid Khalifa, 2008), and a set of results have been reached, which are: There is a positive and statistically significant correlation between sensory skills and selective auditory attention, and there is also a positive and statistically significant correlation between sensory skills and visual selective attention, while there are no differences between Males and females are autistic children in sensorimotor skills, and there are no differences between males and females in auditory and visual selective attention, and in light of the results, the researcher presented some suggestions Recommendations and suggestions for future research.
