Abstract:
This research is concerned with studying the phenomenon of “mixing contradictions” in the poems of the poet Rashid Selim El-Khoury, in which he expressed the homeland and its issues His poems contained two main dimensions through which the national trend was reflected: the poetry of national , and the poetry of nostalgia Highlighting in his poems the colonialism, wars and conspiracies of the Arab world by Western countries ; Where the poet mixes words, structures and contradictory images; To vent his sad feelings, and express what is going on inside himself of various overlapping feelings and feelings; As a result of the unfortunate events happening around it related to the beloved homeland; It reveals to the recipient the existing conflicts within him, and the state of psychological dispersion he is going through; Hence, mixing contradictions was a rhetorical method; It enabled the poet to achieve a qualitative addition that distinguished his poetic production; This shows his artistic ability, and contributes to adding vitality and beauty to his poetic text.

This research will deal with three aspects of this phenomenon that the poet employed to express the issues of the homeland and his feelings towards him:
The First aspect : contrast.
The second aspect: the interview.
The Third aspect: interview the photos.
