Program to the formation of some concepts of natural geography in kindergarten children.

Abstract

This study aims to design a program to form some concepts of the natural geography in kindergarten children. The researcher is following the semi-experimental curriculum based on experimental design (one group). To make sure of the presented program, it has been applied on a group of 20 children, aged (6-7) years, from Lieutenant Raed El-Sebaie Formal Distinguished Language School, Nasr City Educational Directorate, Cairo Governorate. This research was applied in the first term of the school year (2020-2021) and the research used the following: the test of natural geography concepts in kindergarten children (Researcher Preparation) and a program for forming some natural geography concepts for kindergarten children (Researcher Preparation). After applying the study tools, the before and after measurements were analyzed by using appropriate statistical methods, the following results were reached: there is a statistically significant difference at the level of (0,01) between the average marks of the experimental group of the before and after measurements of the natural geography concepts ( for the after measurement), whereas there is no statistically significant difference at the level (0,05) between the average marks of males and females in the after measurement of the natural geography concepts test. The researcher concluded that the program is effective in forming some concepts of the natural geography in kindergarten children, and recommended its use in kindergarten.
