Abstract

This research aims at recognizing the effectiveness of the enrichment program based on introducing the dramatic approach and its effectiveness in developing cultural identity awareness and the survival of learning impact in Social Studies among preparatory stage students. The researcher has followed the descriptive analytical approach as well as the experimental one to reach several results, top of which are the following: First, a statistically proven difference between the average of students grades in the experimental group in both pre and post applications testing the aspects and dimensions of cultural identity awareness on one hand and the test of cognitive acquisition in favor of the post application on the other. Second, a statistically proven difference between the average of students' grades in both, experimental as well as controlling, groups in the post application of testing the aspects and dimensions of cultural identity awareness on one hand and the test of cognitive acquisition in favor of the experimental group on the other. Third, the absence of a statistically proven difference between the average of students' grades in the experimental group in both applications, the post as well as the postponed ones, testing cognitive acquisition. Considering these results, the study recommends that Social Studies teachers use the dramatic approach in teaching.
