“Social Values As Reflected in the Pages of Opinion-Leaders in the Fields of Art and Sports on Facebook” (An Analytical Study)

Abstract

This research paper drives at identifying the most important social values contained in the materials published on the pages of Egyptian opinion-leaders in art and sports fields on Facebook. The paper relies on the content analysis tool to analyze the materials published on the pages of a sample of opinion-leaders in both fields, and their number has reached four pages for each field. The artistic field is represented in the pages of both the artist Mohamed Sobhi and the artist Ahmed Helmy; while the sports field is represented in the pages of the player Mohamed Salah and the player Mohamed Abou-Treka, during the time period from January 2021 to June 2021.The paper reveals a number of results, including:.1.In the artistic field, the artist Mohamed Sobhi was interested in supporting values in general through the method of publishing materials containing a number of different values, and this came in 63.4% . The existing values that opinion-leaders focus on varied, and most of them were implicit, while few came explicit. Regarding the artist Ahmed Helmy, he was keen to present various materials, most of them were driving at creating an atmosphere of fun and humor more than supporting authentic values.2. In the sports field, the player Mohamed Abou-Trika’s page was distinguished by its endeavor to support the authentic values more than of the player Mohamed Salah’s page, as those authentic values came on the first page by 74.1%, while on Mohamed Salah’s page by 66.7%,
